Stéphane Julien is a speech and language therapist in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. He works with children and adults with intellectual disabilities in two institutions. He also teaches at the University of Neuchâtel and holds a doctorate in applied linguistics.

Stéphane is a board member of the French chapter of the International Society for Alternative and Augmentative Communication (Isaac Francophone), responsible for international relations, a member of the scientific council and president of the ISAAC Association of the French-speaking part of Switzerland (Association ISAAC Suisse Romande), which he founded. He is also a member of the strategic committee of the Swiss French-speaking SLT (ARLD), a delegate of ESLA and AFILO (AFILO Francophonie), as well as various societies dealing with PIMD, Down syndrome or autism spectrum disorders.

Stéphane regularly organizes conferences and workshops on ASD and is invited to international conferences (ESLA). He is an ASD trainer and a certified talking mat trainer in Switzerland.
