Dr. Susan Ebbels is a speech and language therapist and Director of the Institute for Research and Training at Moor House School & College, Surrey, UK, a specialized school for children with speech and language disorders (SLD) aged 7-19. She is a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Language and Communication Disorders and Child Language Teaching and Therapy. She is an honorary lecturer at UCL and is a specialist consultant and member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Linguists. She believes in the need for evidence-based practice and has conducted and coordinated many studies in a variety of areas, but with a particular focus on improving grammar comprehension and production in children with language disorders using her SHAPE CODING™ system.
She conducts regular courses on both the SHAPE CODINGTM system and the current evidence base for school-age children with language development disorders (LDD).
During the webinar, Prof. Ebbels will explain the concepts of language delay and language development pathology and explain the difference between these concepts.
